The holiday season is about giving back to others who are less fortunate. That’s why the debt collection team at CACi, a Missouri-based collection agency, felt it important to help feed the hungry.

“Local food shelves are reporting volume is well behind recent years, yet the year-round need for help continues to rise,” CACi Chief Operating Officer Roger Weiss said.  “Our team felt passionate that they wanted to find a way to help.”

Employees of CACi initiated a successful food drive that raised more than $1,600 in cash and food donations for the New Life Evangelistic Center in St. Louis.

Veteran collector Mark Collet spearheaded the company fundraising effort (CACi Gives), along with shaving his plush facial hair for a $100 donation. Additionally, he is growing out his blonde hair to be donated to the non-profit Locks of Love.  Going forward, Collet will lead a quarterly food drive at CACi and challenge colleagues and competitors to do the same.
