In a time when Americans need to count on one another and work together more than ever, Oxford Management Services (OMS) remains committed to helping others and the philosophy of “Pay it Forward.” In accordance with this commitment, OMS recently proved its dedication to our Troops and the community at large in the following ways:

Collecting Care for Troops Campaign - OMS has run a “Collecting Care for Troops Campaign” for well over a year sending care items to our troops in Iraq. Upon returning from his 2nd tour of duty in Iraq, Nathaniel W. Ellis United States Army SPC4 (Corporal) stated, “the support you have given us with the Care for Troops program is really special and helps to get us through the day. Receiving some of those items from home makes life on the battlefield a little more tolerable.”

Most recently, OMS partnered with New York’s renowned Junior’s Restaurant to donate over 100 of its legendary cheesecakes to the VA Medical Center in Northport, NY, and the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. “We are truly proud to partner with Oxford Management Services for this great cause,” said Alan Rosen, co-owner of Junior’s. “Especially at holiday time, so many troops and veterans are away from their families, serving overseas, rehabilitating in hospitals from injuries. To be able to provide them with a little taste of home with our cheesecakes is the least we can do to show our gratitude for the sacrifices they are making. In fact, we are honored to be able to do so.”

Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind - OMS and the Pinto family have previously sponsored dogs, such as “Trinity” (pictured below); to help offset the cost of raising, training, and placing the dog with a person with disabilities. OMS’ Senior Management Team recently made personal donations to sponsor a third dog through the Foundation. The Foundation provides guide and service dogs free of charge to people who are blind, visually impaired or who have other special needs and desire the increased independence, mobility, and companionship an assistance dog brings.

Toys for Tots - OMS conducted a holiday Toys for Tots drive in each office and collected over 500 new toys for families in need. OMS found that despite difficult economic times, employees found ways to contribute such as pooling money in order to buy toys. According to Peter Pinto, OMS’ President/CEO, “Our employees do a great job in promoting the holiday spirit of Toys for Tots and really understand the importance of giving. Whether it was bringing in toys or donating money for management to buy toys, everyone participated and felt good about the drive.”

In addition, OMS Senior Management Team was recently recognized for their contributions to:

•    Adopt a Platoon program
•    American Cancer Society
•    Good Samaritans of Graymoor
•    Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
•    Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
•    New York City Rescue Mission
•    Soldier’s’ Angels
•    St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
•    The Bowery Mission

OMS requests you “Pay it Forward” and make an online donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (http://www.fallenheroesfund.org/). The Fund is anticipating a late 2009 completion of a 72,000 square foot advanced facility dedicated to research, diagnosis, and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health issues.
