Americollect, Inc. the win/win collection company based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, announced recently that they completed the SOCII audit (formerly known as the SAS70) process. The company is a leader in the customer friendly collections arena specializing in Utility, Medical, and Cellular collections.

Americollect partnered with Schenck SC to perform the extensive audit focusing on the company’s security, availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality. This type of audit establishes that Americollect takes all the necessary steps to safeguard client and consumer information.

Crystal J. Casavant, Director of Call Center Operations at Americollect, Inc. said about the audit process, “We learned that we were doing a lot of things right, but it made us improve our documentation and internal communication; having to explain your processes to an outsider helps you look at things as if you were walking through the door for the first time yourself. We have better checks in place so I can assure our clients that we are following our policies and procedures.”

A SOCII Audit (known as SAS70 from 1992-June 2011) is completed through an independent auditor and the certification is issued through the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA). The SOCII process provides the same rigorous reporting framework that the SAS70 did, as well as conveying trust and assurance to users of the system that the service organization has taken the steps necessary to mitigate operational and compliance risks to its users.

Americollect, Inc. is a third party collection agency using the Win-Win Collection Concept designed by now-President and CEO, Kenlyn T. Gretz. This concept is the key to Americollect’s success, using a sales approach to reach the goal of payment in full while being considerate of the poor, down-on-their-luck non-payers. Americollect has been in business since 1964 and has been a three year recipient of the insideARM award as one of the Best Places to Work in Collections.

Americollect partners with their clients to collect their accounts as quickly and professionally as possible while maintaining and building the client’s reputation and understanding each consumer.
