ACA International remains active in forging relationships with state attorneys general through participation in national and partisan associations. Through these efforts, ACA continues to raise the credit and collection industry’s profile among critical stakeholders and their staff by educating them about the critical issues association members face.

Andy Madden, ACA’s director of state government affairs, recently attended the Republican Attorneys General Association summer meeting in Coronado, Calif. It consisted of numerous political briefings as well as panel discussions on emerging technologies and enforcing the Rule of Law. More than 18 attorneys general as well as candidates and key policy staff also attended the meeting.

Attorneys general in attendance included: Luther Strange (Alabama), Tom Horne (Arizona), John Suthers (Colorado), Pam Bondi (Florida), Lawrence Wasden (Idaho), Greg Zoeller (Indiana), Derek Schmidt (Kansas), Buddy Caldwell (Louisiana), Bill Schutte (Michigan), Tim Fox (Montana), Jon Bruning (Nebraska), Wayne Stenehjem (North Dakota), Scott Pruitt (Oklahoma), Alan Wilson (South Carolina), Marty Jackley (South Dakota), Sean Reyes (Utah), Patrick Morrisey (West Virginia) and JB Van Hollen (Wisconsin).
