Bass & Associates, P.C., has been named among the Training Top 125 by Training Magazine, the leading business publication for learning and development professionals.

The firm was named among the top 125 companies in the country that exhibit excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. The rankings for the 125 leading organizations will be unveiled during an awards gala at the Training 2013 Conference & Expo, Feb. 18-20, 2013, in Orlando, Fla.

Bass & Associates is a nationwide, woman-owned, small business collections and bankruptcy law firm based in Tucson, Ariz. The firm was named among an elite group of corporations that include Capital One, Wells Fargo & Co., Bank of America and New York Life Insurance Co.

“Comprehensive, quality training programs for all employees are a key component of success,’’ said Patti H. Bass, President and CEO of Bass & Associates. “Bass managers and supervisors work closely with Training Specialist Andy Hoskins to ensure that our goals are met and our values are supported through the work we all do every day.”

Lorri Freifeld, editor-in-chief of Training magazine, said this year’s applicants were difficult to choose from. She said applications highlight the value of quality corporate training.

“Close alignment between training and corporate strategic goals led to strong financial performance, increased employee engagement and a learning-centric culture,” Freifeld said.

Now in its 13th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on benchmarking statistics, including total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement, and workplace surveys and hours of training per employee annually.

The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
