Rozanne Andersen, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, and Rick Clark, Corporate Security Manager, for Ontario Systems, LLC, will be taking part in a data security panel at the DBA Conference, February 7-9 in Las Vegas. DBA is one of the largest annual industry conferences, with an estimated 1,500 people expected to be in attendance.

The panel will discuss basic security measures regarding the standard minimum guidelines necessary to protect PPI data as well as those with access to this information. Topics will include management and screening of personnel with access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and the due diligence process when buying and selling accounts. Andersen will provide an overview of the data security legislative and regulatory landscape at the federal and state level and also distribute sample Data Security policies. The panel will discuss actual data breach situations encountered by some of the largest and most sophisticated buyers/sellers, easy steps company owners can take to ensure they are both compliant and updated with the minimum standard encryption guidelines, as well as easy ways to ensure the due diligence process protects your best interests.

“We’re extremely honored to represent Ontario Systems as speakers on this panel,” said Andersen. “Our inclusion in this discussion is a real testament to the expertise that Ontario Systems brings to the data security marketplace. We take our position as the industry’s thought leader regarding data security very seriously and will make this session at DBA a must-attend education session.”

“When it comes to data security, Ontario Systems holds more certifications in the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) space than any other software solutions provider,” said Clark. “The panel is an excellent way for Ontario Systems to provide the asset purchasing and collection industry attendees with immediate, implementable takeaways.”

Andersen has lived and breathed compliance for more than 15 years. She previously served the members of ACA International, The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, most recently as CEO. Her advocacy work on behalf of the credit and collection industry has resulted in landmark legislation and regulation at both the state level and at the federal level with regard to the FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA. Andersen frequently blogs on the subject at insidearm.com.

Clark is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and holds Security+ and GIAC ISO17799 certifications. He has more than 17 years of experience as an IT manager and is responsible for all phases of corporate security at Ontario Systems. Clark is a recognized advocate on issues of security, compliance, and data privacy.

“In the ARM industry, no company has more certifications than Ontario Systems,” said Andersen. “We understand the industry landscape. One of our goals at this panel is to help attendees understand and learn that implementation of quality data security policies and tools is scalable. Whether your business is debt buying, debt selling, or collections, you can comply with data security requirements. Attendees of the panel will walk away with practical takeaways for data security, including a sample policy they can adapt for their company.”

As part of the Ontario Systems presence at the conference, the company is offering a free trial of its new cloud-based dialer, GC Flex, for those who stop by the booth or sign up online. One lucky participant will also be randomly selected to win an Xbox Kinect.
