Today we are announcing the launch of a new page designed to help the ARM industry navigate the current legal and regulatory environment: the FDCPA Resources area.

The new section features recent developments in the reform of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, details on relevant cases (case law), recent enforcement actions, staff opinions and guidance, and of course the text of the FDCPA, along with a plain-language interpretation from the Congressional Research Service.

The FDCPA has governed collection practices for 36 years now. And regardless of any new rules for debt collection the CFPB may write this year, the official law will inform and restriction collection behavior for years to come.

Did you know that there are currently three bills in Congress that aim to amend the FDCPA? And all were introduced just last year.

That information, and a lot more, can be found on the FDCPA Resources page.

The page is generously underwritten by TCN, Inc.

To make navigation to the page as seamless as possible, we will be displaying the banner below on each article we run on the FDCPA. Click on it to go to the FDCPA Resources page:

The new page is part of a broad strategy shift here at insideARM.com to provide content packaged in a way that debt collectors can easily use. We have already launched a similar CFPB Resources page and we’ve got many more in the works.

Go check out our new FDCPA Resources page. The page is not intended as a static destination page, rather it will be a living document with new additions coming each week (or day!). As always, we welcome feedback. If there is anything you think we should include, please email editor@insidearm.com.
