DBA International, the voice of the debt buying industry, announced the addition of Don Maurice as a legal consultant specializing in state and federal legislative activities.

President of Maurice & Needleman, P.C., Maurice brings more than 25 years of experience representing the financial services industry in trials and appeals of individual and class action lawsuits to DBA International. Maurice will provide analysis of recent judicial, legislative, and regulatory developments at the state and federal level, represent DBA before various groups and regulators, and provide legal guidance to DBA’s membership.

With his extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, as well as the laws and regulations governing debt buyers and collection firms, Don will be a great asset to our organization by representing the industry before key opinion leaders,” said Bryan Faliero, DBA International’s Board President.

Maurice is Chair of the American Bar Association’s Debt Collection and Bankruptcy Subcommittee, Business Law Section. He is also certified as a Creditor’s Rights Attorney by the American Board of Certification and is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia.

DBA International (DBA) is the nonprofit trade association that represents companies that purchase performing and nonperforming receivables on the secondary market. Founded in 1997 by a small group of companies to provide a forum to advance best practices within the industry, today DBA has grown to represent over 550 companies.
