The Dallas law firm of Shackelford, Melton & McKinley, LLP, is announcing that attorney Tanya Greene Wallace has joined the firm as a partner. Ms. Wallace’s practice focuses on corporate transactions and commercial litigation.

"Tanya is a tremendously talented attorney, both in the courtroom and the boardroom," says partner John Shackelford. "She brings expertise and experience in litigation and transactional work that will greatly enhance our firm and the work we do for clients.”

Ms. Wallace’s transactional practice includes trademark and copyright agreements, real estate transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Her litigation practice includes matters involving director and officer liability, securities litigation and insurance defense. She also has extensive experience counseling banks, lenders and debt collection companies in consumer lending law, including debt collection practices, default and foreclosure defense and truth-in-lending laws.

Ms. Wallace earned her law degree from the Boston College Law School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Fordham University.

Following law school, Ms. Wallace clerked for the Honorable James E. Broberg in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District. During law school she served as a legal intern in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Wallace worked as a corporate account manager at Deutsche Bank.
