APQC (American Productivity & Quality Center) is partnering with the International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP) and International Accounts Receivable Professionals (IARP) associations to provide their members with complimentary access to APQC’s catalog of performance assessment surveys (part of its open standards benchmarking) and database of performance measures. IAPP and IARP members will access the surveys directly through a customized portal at www.apqc.org/iapp_iarp.

After participating in the performance assessments, IAPP and IARP members will receive a report summarizing their accounts payable or accounts receivable process performance relative to top performers as identified by APQC. The resulting report will highlight gaps in performance and can be used by IAPP and IARP members to address strategic and tactical issues and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cost, and improve process cycle times.

“Our members will receive tremendous value by participating in these studies. The APQC report will show how they stack up against the industry and specifically where they have opportunities to improve,” said Jo-El LaBorde, chief operating officer for IAPP and IARP. “This is invaluable data for succeeding in today’s marketplace.”

“APQC is a global leader when it comes to identifying and analyzing best practices and process improvement strategies for the office of the CFO. We are excited to partner with IAPP and IARP to help finance professionals improve process performance,” said Mary Driscoll, APQC’s senior research fellow.

“In today’s economic environment, capital providers put a premium on nonfinancial corporations that can demonstrate excellence in working capital management,” Driscoll continued. “That, in turn, depends in large measure on excellence in core financial transaction processing, credit risk management, accounting, and careful monitoring of the underlying drivers of cash conversion efficiency—the heart and soul of AP and AR.”
