NORFOLK, Va. — Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. /quotes/comstock/15*!hmpr/quotes/nls/hmpr (HMPR 2.65, -0.07, -2.57%) , the holding company for Bank of Hampton Roads and Shore Bank, is pleased to announce that Robert A. Bloxom and Lisa M. Lentz are joining the Company’s Credit Risk Management team.

Bloxom will serve as a Senior Credit Officer and will be responsible for working with the Banks’ Markets in the approval of loan requests, ensuring risk ratings are correct, and helping account officers develop action plans for the credits in their portfolios.

Lentz will lead the Banks’ efforts to streamline Committee processes, enhance the tools it uses to analyze credit requests, and monitor the performance of the loan portfolios.

Bloxom began his banking career in 1986 with Bank of Virginia in Norfolk. During his career he has held positions in credit analysis, loan review, credit administration, and has spent the past 15 years as a commercial loan officer. Prior to joining Shore Bank in 2006, he was the Chief Lending Officer for Farmers & Merchants Bank-Eastern Shore, an affiliate of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation. Bloxom currently serves as Shore Bank’s Chief Lending Officer and also manages its Credit Administration Department. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management, and the East Carolina University Advanced Commercial Lending School.

Lentz has been with Shore Bank since 2000 and has extensive experience as Vice President of Credit Administration. Most recently, she was responsible for building the Bank’s internet banking division, and serving as the loan officer for loans originated online. Lentz is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and recently earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. In addition, she is a 2005 graduate of the Virginia Banker’s School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia and a 2009 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
