The collector mentor Challenge™ is a collector mentor™ and InsideARM.com initiative designed to help collectors unleash their full personal and professional potential. Each week a new challenge will be posted online. These short, weekly challenges will provide readers with actionable ideas to pursue, explore, and ponder in the week ahead.
Each challenge is broken down into three parts:
While each individual challenge can be explored on a stand-alone or intermittent basis depending on reader preference, the ongoing series provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations to use the challenges in a systematic way as well. Collectors will have the option to chart their progress using The Challenge Scorecard™ and they can use The Challenge Journal™ to record their thoughts and experiences.
The challenges will cover a variety of topics including business and careers, personal growth, health, family and friends, fun, and personal finances. Each challenge will fall into one of the follow six categories:
This week’s collector mentor challenge is to recognize the achievements of your peers or thank them for lending a helping hand.
This week your challenge is to do something spontaneous. Say yes when you would otherwise say no and roll with it. See where life takes you.
This week your challenge is to schedule a daily 15-minute chunk of time to grow your knowledge, skills, and abilities. The two requirements are that you do it alone and refrain from multitasking.
Who are the special people in your life who provide you the encouragement you need when the chips are down? Perhaps it’s time right now to give those people a call and thank them for packing your parachute.
This week’s challenge is to fire up the DeLorean and travel back in time in order to see the debt collection industry from a different point of view.
This week’s collector mentor Challenge is to discuss the importance of teamwork with your peers.
This week’s collector mentor Challenge is to rally your team and encourage each other as the first half of 2011 comes to a close.
This week as you head into each call, remember that it is not a debate. It’s a chance to help a fellow human being overcome a serious financial setback.
It can be easy to stick to our routine, but routines can lead to ruts and people get stuck in ruts. This week I challenge you to break your routine, get out of your rut, and try something new.
This week the collector mentor Challenge is to create a “mom moments” top ten list. The aim is to identify ten of the most memorable occasions that you’ve shared with your mom and reflect on how those moments have shaped your worldview.
