The following is the latest entry in The National List of Attorneys blog on insideARM.com, 50 White Papers in 50 Days. The blog is running in conjunction with the NL’s publication of 50 white papers on debt collection laws in the 50 states.

Today, February 12, 2013, The National List of Attorneys published the white paper on debt collection law in Connecticut, submitted by attorney Kenneth M. Rozich, Esq., and his law firm Jacobs and Rozich, L.L.C.

The law firm of Jacobs & Rozich, LLC has more than 35 years of practice between the principals, attorney Edward D. Jacobs and attorney Kenneth M. Rozich, and has extensive experience in litigating cases involving personal injury, construction and debt collection matters.  The firm has been a member of The National List since 1992.

Kenneth focuses his practice on creditors’ defense, personal injury, commercial and construction litigation. He graduated from Niagara University and received his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut courts – Judicial Branch Superior Courts, Small Claims Courts, and in U.S. Federal Courts – U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut; U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Connecticut. He prides himself in taking cases that require complex litigation.

The state slogan for Connecticut is “We’re full of surprises.” According to Ken Rozich, creditors are often surprised that Connecticut is an appearance state, which means a creditor must appear as a witness for a hearing, they cannot just submit an affidavit or have a telephonic hearing. And out of state collection agencies may be surprised that Connecticut is a closed border state, meaning they cannot engage in any collection practices unless they are properly licensed in the state.
